How we collect personal data, what we collect and why we collect it

Registration/Login: The only reason we have chosen to add the registration/login option in our site is to enable a private wish-list page. Therefore, in order to register, it will be necessary to send us your Personal Data as username and email address. For technical reasons, this is the only way to link your wish-list page to your personal account, making it visible only to you and without being shared on the same WiFi connection.

Social Registration/Login: If you chose to register or login with Facebook or Google button, please note that we minimized the stored data to your only email address. We disabled the option to store your First name, Last name and access token (which can be used to identify you). Instead of your full name, you will receive by email a randomly generated username that cannot be changed. This random username cannot be used to track you back to your original name. We also disabled the function to upload photos in “Edit Profile” and none of your profile photo will be stored. The option to not store your email address couldn’t be disabled, because without your email address you will not be able to access your profile to make any changes in it. Your email address is also important in order to provide security and contact you back if it’s necessary.

We collect essential Personal Data to make our site work better and improve your experience. We do our best to examine, control and avoid any possible dissemination of them. Please also consider that in order to create a website, it is necessary to use, for example, external software components that add a specific feature to the functionality of the site. These external software components may collect data, but we put all our efforts to ensure that all of them are compliant with the local law and that all personal data remain stored and protected exclusively on our website. Although our settings on these programs prevent the use of personal data, we cannot guarantee that they can be completely compliant and therefore we cannot take any responsibility.

As most websites, we also could receive internet protocol (“IP”) addresses, operating system, browser type, referring/exit pages and screen resolution. • wordpress_test_cookie: this cookie is stored to check if your browser supports cookies. It expires when you close your browser.
• wordpress_logged_in_[hash] and wordpress_sec_[hash]: These cookies are respectively stored to indicate when you’re logged in, which user you are and to store your authentication details. They expire when you close your browser.
• SESSnsl: we use the following plugin “Nextend Social Login” in order to let you login or register using your Facebook or Google account and to make sure that you read and accept our Privacy Policy. It stores in our database your email address and your generated user name. This cookie expires when you close your browser.
• newsletter: this cookie is stored to check if your browser supports cookies, indicate when you subscribe, which user you are and to store your details. It expires when you close your browser.
• caosLocalGa and caosLocalGa_gid: are used to store and keep track of visits, session and site usage for analytics data. In other words, they respectively check if cookies are accepted and host Google Analytics _ga cookie (expiration date: 14 months), using CAOS plugin, by uploading analytics.js Google Analytics file in our site. This method improves our site speed for better user experience, allow us to easily set Minimal Analytics, which is basically Google Analytics Lite (a simple snippet for tracking page views on our website), and to anonymize user’s IP addresses. We keep checking and control the best settings available for a friendly Google Analytics service. If you subscribe to our newsletter, by accessing your profile, you give us the right to contact you by email. Don’t worry, we don’t like spam. The only purpose of our newsletter is to send you some news from time to time, about products that we really consider interesting and unique. We only collect your email address, gender and anonymized IP for approximate geo-location. If you are concerned about your data, you have the right to request access to the personal data that we may hold or process about you.
